Thank you for sharing this information Michael! I wish you had been around when I was heading off to college. I had a wonderful IHSA experience and hope that others will consider it as part of their college experience.

Equestrian College Recruiting

We have had a really exciting week at EquestrianCollegeRecruiter.com

Sally Frick and Crystal Bohnen of Converse College cane to Ocala to interview some of our riders in person.

They viewed the riders profiles on our website and were impressed. Several of our riders will be heading up to Converse College this week to take the next step in being awarded a scholarship.

Remember that the IHSA teams recruit from walk/trot through Maclay riders.

Do you ride well enough to compete on a college equestrian team?

During the past several weeks I have been to many different horse shows from Florida to New York these shows have encompassed everything from the “A” shows to schooling shows. In response to the unwanted horse problem in our country EquestrianCollegeRecruiter.com has developed a horse donation page on its website. Colleges across the country are in need of horses for their riding and breeding programs. If you have a useful horse looking for a new home you can list them on our website with pictures and video. THIS IS A FREE SERVICE! Colleges are also welcome to send us their “wish list” of what is needed in their program or check the website for available horses. Visit… Continue

What you should know about equestrian college recruiting.

As my wife and I found out first hand the world of Equestrian College Recruiting can be very confusing and a bit intimidating. I will try and make some sense of the process in the space allowed. There are many different college riding organizations ranging from the NCAA ( National Collegiate Athletic Association), the IHSA ( Intercollegiate Horse Show Association), the IDA ( Intercollegiate Dressage Association), the ANRC ( American National Riding Commission) as well as the NIRA ( National Inte… Continue
